The Biggest Beauty Trend of 2025

As a beauty professional, I do my best to stay up-to-date with the current beauty trends. Whether it be ‘old money blonde’, brow laminations, lash extensions, baby-botox, or almond shape nails! While I like to be aware of the current trends, on a personal level, I tend to go for what I like/what flatters me most. This is partially why I am predicting the biggest beauty trend of 2025 to be NATURAL beauty.

Bringing It Back To Natural

Two years ago, I had the realization after being blonde for over six years, that it was time to go back to my natural hair color. I felt so pretty and stylish being blonde and thought I would maintain it forever! However, once the thought came into my mind that I may only have a few more years to ENJOY my natural brunette hair before the grey’s invade, I knew it was time to go back! Now that I have been bleach free for over two years, I can confidently say it was the best decision! I am so in love with my natural hair color! I feel so beautiful and my hair is SO much healthier.

A New Era of Hair Color

Beyond my personal experience, I’ve noticed that women have changed the way they are approaching their grey coverage in hair salons! Not many women want to chase their roots every two to four weeks to cover that harsh line of demarkation. Enter in the trend hair stylists lovingly call “shimmer” or “baby” -lights. Basically these are microfine weaves that are lightened giving a similar effect that greys have when they first start to grow in. By adding in strategic shimmer-lights throughout the hair it creates a more even and blended “shimmer” effect. You can then tone the highlights to your taste varying from very blonde to more subtle warmth.

The Trend of Embracing Your Natural Hair

Going one level further, a lot of women are just fully embracing their greying hair! I have seen so many examples of women who look young, stylish, and beautiful while rocking their natural greying hair color! By making the choice to embrace your natural color, not only are you saving time and money, but you’re gaining confidence. That is truly what evokes the most beautiful energy anyway! When you feel so confident in the way God made you, you look more beautiful!

The Most Affordable Nail Trend of 2025

When thinking about the next big nail trend for 2025, not many nail technicians are going to claim natural nails. However, as someone who transitioned from getting professional manicures, to diy-ing my own Gel-x nails at home, I now prefer to have my nails bare and clean! I’ve heard some women claim their hands look masculine or stubby but I think the root of that comes from comparison!

After spending time and money maintaining monthly nail appointments, I was so relieved to learn to do my nails myself. I quickly realized the initial investment into supplies is quite large and the amount of time I spend doing my nails nearly tripled! While I was having fun learning and loved the outcome (usually), I started to dread having to re-do my nails. Especially when they didn’t last as long as I had hoped.

Why You Might Consider Embracing Your Natural Nails

This DIY nail burnout led to me fully removing all nail products and beginning the regrowth process for about six months. I was keeping my nails short and clean to encourage healing from my damaged and brittle nails. Now that my nails are fully re-grown they are so strong and I actually prefer to wear them bare! Now that is not to say I won’t be doing my nails every now and then because I still LOVE the way they look when they’re done. I just plan to embrace my natural nails in between sets and love that I have grown to enjoy the way my hands look even when they’re completely NATURAL!

When it comes to what I see others doing, of course, there will always be a place for fun, colorful, and varying lengths of nail art! However many more people are embracing their natural nails and growing those out! Instead of opting for acrylic or gel-x extensions! This is a much healthier option for your natural nail. If you keep your natural nails bare, I recommend keeping up on trimming and filing to keep them neat and clean looking!

The Forever Youthful Trend of Frozen Foreheads

So this next trend could possibly only apply to those in the 25-35 age range but I have really noticed a drop in women wanting to get botox! Whether it be because of the cost, maintenance, or potential toxicity, the trend is starting to swing back to natural! I’ve personally dabbled with botox a few times in my life. When I was 26 I noticed my first settled line in my forehead thanks to blogging. I was taking and editing pictures of myself often and I particularly didn’t like the way makeup would settle into this line. So I decided in the spirit of being proactive I would try out a micro dose of botox.

I was really into the results! My forehead had never looked so smooth and glasslike. After touching it up once or twice, and experiencing an uneven result once…I decided it wasn’t worth the investment at that age! It’s such a temporary service and the cost of maintaining it adds up quick!

Look At The Women Around You

After that, I started noticing women I admire online and in person, embracing their natural lines and wrinkles that inevitably come with age! Some of these women were well known actresses, popular YouTubers, or even my mom! Women I’ve looked up to and thought were the most beautiful my whole life! Not hiding or concealing their aging skin and allowing it to enhance their beauty. This inspired me to try to reframe my desire for glass-skin, devoid of movement or lines.

This is an area of natural beauty that can be the hardest for women to accept. Including me! I’ve heard about a company called ‘Frownies‘ that has created a type of facial patch that acts like a cast! You wear the patches every night for at least 30 days, and this immobilizes the facial muscles you choose to cover. In theory, this product can slow down the development of deeper lines without injecting a neuron-toxin into your body. (I’m hoping to write a full review of this product soon!)

The Biggest Beauty Trend of 2025: BEAUTIFUL YOU!

There is so much to say about this beauty trend of embracing your God given traits! By embracing your natural hair, nails, and skin you level up into a more confident and empowered version of yourself! There are so many more areas of beauty I could touch on within this trend of natural beauty: makeup, dentistry work, fitness, etc. These are just the most relevant to me currently: hair, skin, and nails. Regardless of any opinion I’ve stated here in this article, the biggest takeaway, is to feel confident and empowered! That is what will radiate your beauty from within!
