You guys!!! I am so excited to write this post because I am finally posting my first makeup tutorial on YouTube. This video is showing you how to do your own wedding makeup. I’ve done a few hair videos and few videos showing makeup as support to a blog post. This video however is the first talk through, in depth, full on makeup tutorial.
I knew I had to make this video because I just lived the experience in person. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this past Memorial Day Weekend and I did my own makeup. Not only did I want to share with you how I did it and what I learned, but I also wanted to remember for myself! Below I have for you a video showing how to do your own makeup for a wedding. This makeup can be worn as a bride, bridesmaid, wedding guest…WHOEVER.
How To Do Your Own Makeup For A Wedding
Now That You Have Watched

Now that you have seen this video that was freaking LONG…lets talk a little. This video was anything but easy haha. I had SO MANY technical, physical, situational difficulties. The fact that I was able to edit together a fully cohesive video is astounding haha. Which makes me even more proud of this video. Believe it or not I actually had to cut out quite a bit to keep this video from being even longer. I only kept in the most important pieces of instruction that will assist you in successfully doing your own makeup for a wedding.
One thing I did have to cut out that I think is important is LASHES. I have lash extensions on because I got them for the wedding. I think having lash extensions is one of the best things you can do if you will be doing your own makeup for your wedding. They make your makeup much more fuss free. You also don’t have to worry about your false lashes falling off or needing to mess with any glue.

You did a wonderful job as you look stunning. I would prefer to hire a pro to do mine for my wedding day.
Thank you!! And for sure having someone else do your makeup as a bride so definitely more relaxing!
You look beautiful. I like to do my own makeup when attending a wedding.
Lovely products.
Thank you so much!! And yes these products all really held up well!!
Your make up is gorgeous! I’m terrible at doing make up. My daughter who majored in theater in college, did my make up for her wedding. I’m sure other people thought it was fine, but to me, it was too much. With the earth tones, yours looks so much more natural.
That’s so kind thank you!! It’s all practice!! So many instructional videos on YouTube too!
Really cool. Though I’m not a make up person but if I were, I’d totally do mine on my big day. There’s no way I’m paying for that. No way! Lol.
Haha I love that!! Well hopefully videos like this will help you when the day comes!!
Loved this video! Can’t believe it was your first makeup tutorial – the way it was edited and executed looked like you’ve done lots before! I got married last year and wish I would have taken the time to learn how to do my own makeup. Maybe for the next wedding I go to. Not sure if I have the patience though hah 😉
Aww thank you! That means a lot, it’s a lot of work lol. And I agree it takes tons of patience. Doing it as a bridesmaid taught me that I’d probably prefer having someone else do it for me!
Simply stunning! You’ve given a lot of women the confidence to do it themselves. You make it look so easy, and not stressful at all to do your own makeup for your big day.
That’s so sweet! Thank you!! I hope that whoever might see this would feel empowered to do it themselves!
Very thorough video for helping anyone that wants to do their own makeup for a special occasion, and absolutely beautiful!
I know it was so long haha! Couldn’t leave out important details!! Thank you!!
Thanks so much!! I would love for someone to try it out and see if they feel it doable
